Lead list for QMS software: ten real examples
Who buys quality-management software at food, pharma and manufacturing companies: ten real matches from sample runs, each with the reason it fits.

Quality-management software gets sold to the people who carry a factory's paperwork: SOPs, audit findings, supplier files, deviations. They sit in quality, compliance and supplier-quality teams at food, pharma and manufacturing companies. The ten rows below came back from three real requests, whose descriptions are merged in the one quoted here.
What went in
What you sell: quality-management software for companies that make things under regulation: document control, audits, supplier management with a supplier portal, deviations, complaints.
Who buys it: the person who owns quality at a food, beverage, pharma or manufacturing company of roughly 50 to 5,000 people. That means a head of quality, QA/QC manager, supplier quality manager, or quality or compliance director.
Who doesn't: software testers, other QMS vendors, quality consultants.

What made someone fit
Every fit owns the records. GMP compliance managers, supplier quality leads and food-safety managers working to FSSC 22000 or IATF 16949 spend their week on audits, SOPs and supplier files, and that is the work the software replaces. Many near misses had the right title in the wrong place: quality managers at IT services firms, hospitals, logistics companies and healthcare-software vendors, where "quality" means something else. Two picks rated weaker. One was compliance on the production floor, which is further from the audit trail. The other was supplier quality at an infrastructure contractor rather than a manufacturer. Size matters at the top of the range: BioNTech may already run an enterprise QMS, which makes its two rows a replacement sale. Software testers share the letters "QA" and do a different job, so the description rules them out by name.
